The nature of research across the world has changed rapidly due to ever expanding advances in computing and communications technology. International and national collaborations have become a standard feature of the research landscape. The term eResearch has been coined to describe the increased use of;
- Discipline specific tools
- Connectivity and interoperability suites
- Communication, sensor and data networks
Griffith has undertaken a number of initiatives to build collaborations between researchers and service providers both internal and external to the University. Support for eResearch at Griffith is a collaborative effort that brings together a number of different elements of the University.
Our goal is to support and enhance the research capability of Griffith University through a client-focused service that provides eResearch expertise and cyber infrastructure. We are focused on;
- Developing a client-focused support model capable of delivering technical assistance and support for research.
- Developing cyber infrastructure that is flexible and powerful enough to meet client needs.
- Recruiting and developing staff with the required skills and knowledge to achieve the above.
- Developing links with the global research community and industry partners to facilitate Griffith research projects
